When to Go Rafting in Northern California
Spring
Rafting the American River in the Spring is a bucket list item. Cool water and blooming hillsides make the South Fork a dream trip. Snowmelt means the North Fork rafting season is going and the Class IV rapids await. It can get a bit cold, so learn how to dress for spring rafting.
Summer
